Guide « Vert » des Meilleurs Vins de France RVF 2018 Domaine du Cayron 2015 Gigondas Note : 15 (1 étoile)		Derrière une robe soutenue, on retrouve un nez de cassis frais et de basilic. La bouche se montre dense, avec du relief, voire de petites aspérités. Les tanins auront besoin de temps pour se patiner, même si le fruit qui les enrobe se montre charnu. En fin de bouche, on retrouve la maturité du millésime dans une touche chaleureuse.

ROBERT PARKER by Joe Czerwinski THE WINE ADVOCATE, Inc. (nov. 2017) 2015 Domaine du Cayron Gigondas Rating: (91-93)		The tank sample of Domaine du cayron’s 2015 looks to be excellent. Not only does it show the vintage’s ripe fruit in the form of red plums, stone fruit end supple tannins, it still retains fine details like wisps of fennel, craked pepper and a long, licore-tinged finish. Drink this slightly warm, full-bodied wine from release through 2025.

JOSH RAYNOLDS (vinous.com) (19 sept. 2017) Domaine du Cayron 2014 Gigondas Rating: 92		Brilliant ruby. Candied red berries, cherry liqueur and hints of musky earth and potpourri on rhe highly perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Palate-staining raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show excellent clarity, silky texture and a hint of spicecake that builds steadily as the wine opens up. The energetic, sharply focused, impressively long finish repeats the floral and red fruits notes, and supple tannins lend shape and gentle grip.

JOSH RAYNOLDS (vinous.com) (19 sept. 2017) Domaine du Cayron 2015 Gigondas Rating: (92-94)		Dark ruby. Potent mineral-and smoke-accented cherry, boysenberry and garrigue scents pick up a sexy incense nuance as the wine opens up. Sweet, seamless and penetrating on the palate, offering intense red and blue fruit, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors and a hint of smoked meat. Concentrated yet light on its feet, playing power off finesse with a smooth hand and finishing impressively long, sweet and youthfully tannic. I’d happily lose this wine in the cellar for a while.

Bouche onctueuse, bien bâtie avec de la mâche, de la chair, de la profondeur. Les tanins, encore un peu sauvages, devront être domestiqués. L’ensemble a besoin de temps.

JANCIS ROBINSON (23 nov. 2016) Dom du Cayron 2015 Gigondas Drink 2018-2022 Rating: 15.5		78% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 6% Cinsault, 2% Mourvèdre. 100% destemmed. Matured for 6-12 months in old oak fourdres. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Bright crimson. Sweet and cheesy and rather as though the fruit has been boiled out. Rather ungainly finish. 14.5%.

RVF par Roberto Petronio (nov. 2016) Spécial Gigondas Rouge 2013 Domaine du Cayron 2013 Gigondas Drink 2013-2030 Note : 15.5-16		Ce grand classique issu de raisins non éraflés donne toujours ce parfum délicieux qui va du basilic au cassis frais. Nez intensément fruité. La bouche est dans le même esprit avec un fruit énorme mais tenu par une main de fer. Un Gigondas qui a du charme et du fond. Une valeur sûre.

(nov. 2016) 2014 Domaine du Cayron Gigondas Rating: (87-89)		Still not yet bottled, the 2014 Gigondas is a classic wine from this estate that offers medium-bodied richness, a supple, silky texture and the textbook, exotic bouquet of sasilic, green herbs, blackcurrants and blackberries. The blend is the normal 70% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 14% Syrah and the rest Mourvèdre, and it’s aged in a combination of old foudre and concrete tanks. This beauty will drink nicely through 2024.

(nov. 2016) 2015 Domaine du Cayron Gigondas Rating: (91-93)		The 2015 Gigondas was slightly closed and backwards on this occasion and was much more expressive when i taste dit at the domaine earlier in the year. Nevertheless, it has a beautiful bouquet of cassis, leafy herbs, sasil and exotic flowers as well as medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, sweet tannin and plenty of length.

John LIVINGSTONE (déc. 2015) Dom du Cayron 2014 Gigondas Drink 2018-2029 Rating: ****		Quite a dark red. Cooked cassis fruits a spirit air, mulled and liqueur treatment of fruit. Spicing is also present. The palate has a cassis bud, basil, pesto nature, is vigorous, and not yet fused as none. Has a natural life and strength, ends on some southern glow, with goog darkness in its tannins. It holds just enough contentfor its degre. Localattributes are on display here, with garrigue notes. 14%.
